I am proud to share with you that our team has won the third place in The McKinsey Mekong Business Plan Competition 2012, which was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This is a prestigious competition that aims to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the Mekong region, which includes Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao, Thailand and Vietnam.

The competition attracted more than 100 teams from different universities and business schools across the five countries. We had to submit a business plan that addressed a social or environmental problem and proposed a viable and scalable solution. Our business plan was about creating a affordable toilet for rural people.

We were selected as one of the top 10 finalists and invited to present our business plan in front of a panel of judges. The judges evaluated our business plan based on its feasibility, impact, innovation and presentation skills. We faced tough competition from other teams who had brilliant ideas and impressive pitches.

We were thrilled when we heard our name announced as the third place winner. We received a medal. We also got valuable feedback from the judges and mentors who helped us refine our business plan and improve our presentation skills. We learned a lot from this experience and made many new friends and contacts.

We are very grateful to our university, our professors, our mentors and our sponsors who supported us throughout this journey. We are also thankful to McKinsey & Company for organizing this competition and giving us this opportunity to showcase our talent and passion. We hope to continue working on our business plan and turn it into a reality that can benefit the people in Cambodia.
